June 20, 2026: The Colosseum

Today feels like the real start to our pilgrimage as we start to encounter Ancient Rome. We began with the Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, and the Roman Forum. Our students are learning the foundations of the Roman Empire - their politics, social structure, religious beliefs, and even their (at times gruesome) entertainment. The students seem remarkably energetic and there is a lot of excitement to experience the city. I’m also excited to say that EVERY bag made it to Rome! A great comfort and blessing to our students.
