After our time with Pope Leo, we enjoyed lunch before setting out on our Centro Storico tour. Along the way, students discovered many of Rome’s hidden gems and visited some of the city’s most iconic sites, including the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Piazza Venezia, Santa Maria sopra Minerva, Basilica dei Santi Dodici Apostoli, and Castel Sant'Angelo.
We concluded the afternoon with Mass at Church of Saint Ignatius of Loyola. Be sure to check out the photo of the students walking past Castel Sant’Angelo—now that’s a big pilgrimage!
